South West Show heads to Longleat

The eighth South West Group Travel Show will take place at Longleat in Wiltshire on Saturday 16th February 2019. The FREE TO ENTER show will run from 10.00am until 2.00pm and provide GTOs and travel trade the chance to discover the latest news from a range of attractions, destinations, tour and coach operators, historic houses and castles, heritage railways and accommodation providers and more based in the south and south west of England.

Feedback we have received from previous shows reveals that GTOs find the face-to-face contact with the teams from venues and attractions exhibiting at the show is invaluable in planning and developing their future itineraries. If you have not attended the South West Group Travel Show previously then we hope to see you there next February!

Our hosts have some special treats in store for GTOs who come along on the day as, after visiting the show, GTOs will be able to explore Longleat – taking in a safari and visiting the house and gardens – and appreciate at first hand the opportunities for group visits at this historic estate.

Nestled on the border of Wiltshire and Somerset, the rural estate, made up of over 900 acres of sprawling parkland, is the unrivalled home of over 140 species of exotic animals, and an annual calendar of events which brings the park to vibrant life. With an Elizabethan stately home, a world-famous safari park and unmissable animal encounters and adventure activities, Longleat offers a great day out for every visitor – including the chance to encounter lions and giraffes walking around you, to get up close with penguins, red pandas and meerkats, and to take a cruise to see gorillas and sea lions.

Registration and getting to the show

GTOs can register themselves and one guest for the show online.

We are currently working with coach operators to arrange free coach transport to the show, and more details will be revealed shortly. In addition, a shuttle coach will meet trains arriving at Warminster train station for departure to Longleat at 10.15 and 11.15 with return journey from Longleat to the station at 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

Seats (free of charge) will need to be reserved on the Shuttle Coach in advance of the show, which can be done during the registration process online.

For GTOs arriving by car, parking on the day will be free of charge.
